You didn't come to Costa Rica just to live here.
You came to experience a different way of life.
But when you don't speak Spanish, it's easy to stay in the English-speaking bubble.
You can live next door to Costa Rican families, visit the local market, work with people from the community — and still feel like you're standing on the outside.
Our Spanish Immersion is designed to help you change that.
All Spanish levels welcome.

You Live in Costa Rica. But Do You Feel Part of Costa Rica?
Maybe you know how to get by.
You can order food.
You can use Google Translate.
You can ask your partner or a bilingual friend for help.
But sometimes you want more.
You want to talk to your neighbor.
You want to understand the stories people tell.
You want to communicate directly with the people who work around your home or land.
You want to make local friends.
You want to participate instead of simply observe.
Because getting by isn't the same as feeling connected.
And that's where Spanish can change your experience of Costa Rica.

From Living in Costa Rica to Feeling Part of Costa Rica
Imagine being able to:
-
Have a spontaneous conversation with your neighbor.
-
Make genuine connections with local people.
-
Chat at the farmers' market.
-
Communicate directly with people who work around your home, farm or land.
-
Understand local expressions and cultural context.
-
Participate more naturally in community life.
-
Feel confident enough to speak — even when your Spanish isn't perfect.
That's the transformation we're after.
Not perfect Spanish.
A deeper connection to the place you call home.

Spanish Isn't Just a Class Here.
It's part of your everyday life.
At Finca Sol y Valle, you don't learn Spanish and then return to an English-speaking environment.
You learn Spanish by living it.
Your lessons are connected to real experiences — sharing meals, meeting local people, exploring the land, learning about Costa Rican culture and participating in a conscious, regenerative community.
You'll practice what you're learning in situations that actually matter.
Because the goal isn't to memorize more Spanish.
It's to use Spanish to participate more fully in your life here.

Your Spanish Doesn't Stop When Class Ends.
Live With a Costa Rican Family.
One of the most meaningful parts of the immersion is our Homestay experience.
You'll stay in a private room with a local Costa Rican family, share dinner together and experience Spanish as part of everyday life.
Because some of the most valuable language learning happens when you're not thinking about learning.
Over dinner.
During a conversation.
While sharing a story.
While laughing about something you didn't quite understand the first time.
This is where Spanish becomes real.
Breakfast and lunch are enjoyed at the farm, and dietary needs can be accommodated.
Local families are approximately a 15-minute walk from Finca Sol y Valle.
